One of the things that has always bothered us – beyond people NOT picking up their trash – was the lack of trash receptacles in the parking areas. And the ones that the Park has are just holding pens for the raccoon’s dinners. The Park made an attempt to put tops on the cans but that just kept the raccoon meals dry. Hopefully, by the end of February 2015, you will see six new bear-proof trash cans. There should be one in each parking lot. This way Jim Kelly will have someplace to throw all the garbage he picks up along the river.
